WHITFIELD ACADEMY (HIGHVIEW BAPTIST CHURCH) FOOD SERVICE DEPARTMENT has an opening on their Culinary Team to oversee the culinary program at their East Campus on Shelbyville Road. Position will follow the school calendar year. If year-round employment is needed, summertime opportunities may be available. The right candidate will have a minimum of two years cooking experience and: will be able to prepare nutritional meals; must have a working knowledge of health regulations, KY State School regulations, proper cooking techniques, as well as the use of large volume food preparation equipment; must have the ability to manage state mandated portion controls; must maintain clean work environment and proper state certification (food handlers) throughout employment term; must have ability to communicate effectively and interact with a team; be able to manage inventory levels, control waste, production levels, and follow recipes.
